Jeff Riddell, who relocated from Michigan to Florida in 1983, holds Bachelor and Masters degrees from Michigan State University. Jeff graduated cum laude from Wayne Law School in Detroit, Michigan in 1973, after which he became a partner in a Southfield, Michigan lawfirm specializing in real estate limited partnership syndications. For ten years before moving to Florida, Jeff provided legal services to sponsors including obtaining properties, development of properties, preparation of private placement offering documents and federal and state law and regulatory compliance. Because of his familiarity and experience with direct private placement real estate securities offerings, Jeff was granted a Florida Bar securities specialty designation upon beginning practice in Florida. In 1989 Jeff received his board certification and since then has been a Florida Bar Board Certified Real Estate Lawyer assisting people with all manner of residential and commercial real estate matters. He is the owner of Riddell Law Group in Sarasota, Florida (website: www.rlglawfirm.com ) and the owner of Riddell Title & Escrow, LLC, a Florida licensed title insurance agency. Also, for more than twenty years, Jeff has been assisting people with 1031 Exchanges. His company, U.S. 1031 Exchange Services, Inc. (website: www.us1031.com ), is a 1031 Exchange Qualified Intermediary (QI) and a member of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA). Jeff has been awarded the Certified Exchange Specialist (CES) designation from FEA. Jeff has also held a Florida real estate broker license since 1986 and a Florida mortgage broker license since 1992, and is licensed as a securities registered representative (Series 22 and 63) with OMNI Brokerage, Inc. Jeff`s knowledge, experience and credentials make him uniquely qualified to assist those who wish to avail themselves of 1031 Exchange tax savings and acquisition of syndicated tenant in common (TIC) interests as replacement properties.
